Slots are grooves in the motor stator, used to place the windings, usually even numbers, and each slot corresponds to a magnetic pole.
The number of poles refers to the number of magnetic poles in the stator and rotor of the motor. Generally, the number of stator pole pairs is 3, and the number of rotor pole pairs is 6.
The slot pole of the motor has a significant impact on performance and cost. Generally speaking, the more the number of slots, the higher the air gap flux density, the greater the output torque of the motor, and the higher the power factor. However, too many poles will also lead to increased processing difficulty and reduced slot utilization. Therefore, when selecting a permanent magnet motor, it is necessary to select a motor with an appropriate number of slots according to application requirements and processing capabilities.
